AARON BUCKLEY-MANTELL
Aaron Buckley-Mantell (née Buckley) is an accomplished composer, releasing his debut album, Journey, in 2018 and winning Best Music at the British Animation Film Festival 2019 with his score to the short film Cumulus. He has composed music for several other short films, a feature film (Sasquatch), theatre, choreographed dance, and in 2024 had his first classical concert work Flight of the Seeds premiered by Bath Philharmonia. Aaron has arranged for a variety of ensemble sizes, from a solo piano arrangement of Taylor Swift's 'tis the damn season, to a chamber orchestra arrangement of Ravel's Tzigane, and orchestrating for full-size orchestra with some of Bath Philharmonia's recent community-led pieces, including their 2024 Christmas single Love Is Enough.
Flight of the Seeds

Flight of the Seeds captures the delicate yet determined journey of seed pods drifting from tree to earth. The music mirrors nature’s grace and beauty, weaving a rich tapestry of sound that follows the seeds as they are lifted by gentle breezes - floating, soaring, and spiralling in unpredictable patterns - before finding their place on the ground. Through lyrical melodies and flowing harmonies, the piece celebrates these gentle wanderers and their graceful journey through the air.
Premiered on 19 November 2024 at The Forum, Bath, by Bath Philharmonia, conducted by Jason Thornton.

Aaron is an award-winning composer that has scored numerous short films and a feature film. He has also written music for theatre, choreographed dance and podcasts. His award-winning score for Cumulus, written for harp and piano, was recorded at the SAE Institute in London and won Best Music at the British Animation Film Festival 2019 in Leicester Square, London.
Aaron's first album Journey is a collection of original compositions he wrote for various projects and he continues to release original works on all of the major music streaming services.
